This R&D ribbon blender was used in the development of new pharmaceutical formulations as it is a versatile and efficient machine for mixing powders. It could also be used for small production batches or to pre-mix powders. It consists of a U-shaped horizontal trough and a central shaft equipped with helical ribbon blades – all made from high grade stainless steel. The blades are designed in a double helix arrangement, which allows the materials to be mixed in a radial and lateral direction, creating a homogeneous mix in a short time.
